A stunning 95 point Aussie Cabernet (Halliday) from a region touted as 'Australia's answer to the Médoc' (The Times). Combining power and richness with great refinement, the wine has enjoyed huge critical acclaim since its first release in 1991.
Established by John Parker in 1985 on the rich terra rossa soils of Coonawarra, Parker Estate is currently run by the highly experienced Darren Rathbone. After a year working in Champagne and a vintage at the famous Château Lynch Bages in Pauillac, Darren completed a master's degree in winemaking at UC Davis in California ' meanwhile gaining more hands-on experience at two top Napa Valley wineries. Before returning to Australia, he spent time working in Chassagne Montrachet in Burgundy, revisited Bordeaux, and travelled through the Rhône Valley. This is a classically styled Cabernet Sauvignon, traditionally fermented in small parcels and aged in the finest French oak. Enjoy with roast beef or lamb, game pie or firm mature cheeses.
