The Rothschilds make some of Bordeaux's finest wines, so this red, from their own vineyards in Chile's Colchagua Valley, is something really special ' as fine wine expert Robert Parker notes, Los Vascos 'turns out classy, elegant, stylish wines'.
You'll have heard of Château Lafite ' 'Bordeaux's most famous property' (Parker). But few know of its sister estate in Chile. Fewer still have tried their remarkable wines. The grapes for this fine red were selected from 30 to 60 year old vines in Chile's Colchagua Valley. Such maturity results in grapes of immense concentration, and wines of fabulous depth. In the cellar, winemaking and ageing in French oak was overseen by Marco Puyo. There's little wonder it tastes so very fine. It delivers all the purity and concentration for which Chile Cabernet is so famous ('the most exciting red for the money in the world' wrote The Guardian), plus elegance, finesse and structure. A superb Cabernet ' decant before serving with roast red meats.
