Founded in 1988 by a doctor and a scientist, Forrest Estate was one of the first wineries in Marlborough. Winning a Trophy for their first vintage in 1990, John and Brigid Forrest today own one of New Zealand's most acclaimed estates. They are assisted by their three children Sam, Beth and Reid. Grapes for Stonewall Sauvignon are pure Marlborough, from 25 year old, low yielding vines in the Wairau Valley famed for its exceptional fruit. The grapes are harvested in the cool of the night and early morning to maximise the mineral freshness and lively guava and lemon flavours. This outstanding Kiwi Sauvignon is perfect as an apéritif, and a fine accompaniment to shellfish, a seafood salad, cold white meats, grilled fish or goat's cheese.
