Laithwaites’ star winemaker Jean-Marc Sauboua is the genius behind this world class Bordeaux Sauvignon. In just five vintages it clocked up a phenomenal 33 accolades, including ‘White Wine of the Year’ on its debut vintage at the prestigious International Wine Magazine Challenge. In the early days this wine was made at Château La Clarière Laithwaite in Sainte Colombe. Today it’s made at nearby Le Chai au Quai on the banks of the Dordogne and in 2012 Jean-Marc was assisted by James Macdonald of premium New Zealand estate Hunter’s.Crisp and aromatic with classic citrus and gooseberry character.
