Berton All Out Pinot Grigio

HOWZAT! ' a familiar cry on a Saturday afternoon in Griffith, Riverina, as the local cricket side take on a visiting team in this remote corner of New South Wales. At the end of a hard fought game there's nothing better than a glass or three of this crisp Pinot Grigio ' the perfect pick me up! Our friend Bob Berton ' opening bat and handy off spin bowler ' is also a brilliant all-rounder when it comes to winemaking. A red wine genius (you may have tried his Willy Willy Shiraz) and master of crisp racy whites, he couldn't wait to try his hand with pure Pinot Grigio. The label (at Bob's insistence) depicts English cricket legend W.G. Grace being bowled out (a rare sight)! Spot-on for a picnic and with salads, spicy stir-fry and creamy pasta.
