Scarpantoni wines enjoy cult status in South Australia and have accumulated over 300 medals in National Wine Shows. Lively and refreshing with zesty citrus and peach notes, their mouthwatering, unwooded Chardonnay is impossible to resist. The founding father of the business, Domenico Scarpantoni, arrived from Italy in the 1950s and soon turned his 5 hectare plot into a profitable vineyard. For many years he supplied grapes to the winemaking giant Hardys. Then, in 1979, with the help of his sons Michael and Fil, Dom built his own winery. These days, his granddaughter Mirella is the winemaker, having graduated from the famous Roseworthy College.
