Crafted by multi award winning winemaker Jaime Quendera, this deliciously fresh white shows the wonderful flavours and outstanding value that Portugal's wines have to offer. As Oz Clarke notes, the country 'does good, individual whites ' from grape varieties unheard of anywhere else' (Observer Food Monthly). Portinho do Côvo comes from the Setúbal Peninsula, renowned for its rolling Atlantic waves, much loved by serious surfers. The sunny climate, tempered by cooling ocean breezes, is ideal for white wines, providing a long ripening season essential for bringing out delicate aromas and retaining freshness. Seafood features prominently on the local menu, so you'll find this wine is ideal with prawns, scallops, grilled white fish or salads.
