Classic Sancerre that reflects the chalk and limstone soils for which the Chavignol region is rightly famed. Supremely elegant, your prized white comes courtesy of Serge and Elisabeth Laporte, whose 10 hectare domaine near Sancerre, has been in the family for generations. And it looks set to remain so for at least one more, as they have recently been joined by their son Guillaume. He spent three years studying oenology at Tours, and his input has added further dimension to an already excellent wine. Made with premium Sauvignon, this Sancerre has incredible mineral richness and pristine flavours that have won over the toughest wine judges. Excellent served with warm goat’s cheese salad or with seafood.
