Abbesse Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Characterful, crisp Loire whites are Noël Bougrier’s speciality at his fourth generation family cellar, based in the Loire’s Touraine. We’ve been working with him for many years, and he gives us privileged access to his delicious wines – putting them aside until our Buyer is able to get out there and taste them. That was lucky in 2012 as the harvest was down by a drastic 66%, the smallest for 22 years. Rather than disappoint our customers, Noël quickly searched out a terrific parcel of Sauvignon, equally zingy and lemony fresh, from Gascony’s ocean cooled vineyards.Fans of this white – and there are many – won't be disappointed. It’s a zesty, classic Sauvignon, spot on with grilled white fish, prawns and other seafood, risotto or salads.
