Lumina Lunae Pinot Grigio 2013

Federica Lauterio is a native of northern Italy, the heartland of the Pinot Grigio grape. She is also the latest winemaking protégée of an established Pinot Grigio specialist (none other than the great Scipione Giuliani of Papavero fame). Her romantically named Lumina Lunae means ,by the light of the moon,, reflecting the fact that the grapes were harvested in the cool of night to protect them from oxidation and retain maximum freshness in the wine. When our Buyer Davy Zyw tasted this sublime Pinot Grigio he couldn,t resist its incredible zing and mouthwatering citrus fruit. An excellent vintage ensures it'sa really tingly fresh wine , serve with grilled prawns, a prosciutto and Parmesan platter, or a tomato, basil and mozzarella salad.
