This exclusive red is from a historic estate founded in 1636 and re-named shortly after the French Revolution by new owner Magdelaine Bertrand. Its vineyards, situated on high, rocky terraces, are planted with local heroes Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Carignan, as well as a little Cabernet Sauvignon. Made purely from rich, fruity Grenache and warm, spicy Syrah, selected from the estate'soldest vines, this red is packed with ripe, herby forest fruit, and makes a great match for steak and kidney pie or other hearty fare.
