No nonsense Aussie Andrew McPherson likes to make wines for sheer enjoyment ¿ as you can taste in the big, rich, ripe cherry flavours of this full flavoured red. Careful ageing in American oak lends a delicious spicy toastiness to the velvety fruit.
A gifted winemaker, Andrew McPherson is also something of a pioneer ' having managed the building of several wineries and juice processing plants throughout Australia, Europe and America before settling down to create his own range of wines. His aim with The Full Fifteen was to create a huge, black, spicy red that would be smooth and immensely drinkable. This vintage sees a good splash of Petit Verdot added to the blend, to bring an extra punch of spicy black fruit, all deliciously ripe and improved by a deft touch of oak. Our Buyer's verdict? Like two bottles crammed into one! This is an utterly irresistible wine, full bodied and best served with red meats such as lamb or beef, at a barbecue or with rich dishes such as lasagne.
