Chardonnay is a grape of many guises, and is planted all over the world. It ranges in style from rich, toasty, oak aged Aussie whites, full of exuberant pineapple and spice flavours, to citrus charged, steely fresh examples like those of Chablis. It'salso a key player in Champagne, Frankrike'siconic bubbly. Il Pino is from the vineyards of Trentino in northern Italy, and, as you'd expect from this cool, mountainous region, shows Chardonnay'scrisper, elegant side. The wine was made by Giuseppe Secchi, a local expert who knew exactly where to go to find the best quality grapes. Mouthwateringly fresh and pure, with classic Italian elegance, it'sa ,drink anytime, wine but best enjoyed as an aperitivo, with seafood, grilled fish or risotto.
