As the retro label suggests, Chante-Clair is as proudly and authentically French as Asterix, Gauloises and the café accordion , yet it also embraces the best of modern winemaking. Its award winning creator, Parker praised Hervé Sabardeil, approached Chante-Clair white in exactly the same way as the red. He selected the best grapes he could find, from vineyards and growers he knows and trusts , all old friends across the Gascony region. Then, having fermented each batch separately, he used his expert touch to create the perfect balance between ripe fruit, freshness and aromatics. This delicious, Sauvignon style white wowed the judges at a top French wine show last vintage and the 2013 is just as tasty. Spot on solo or with salads or seafood.
