Characterful, crisp Loire whites are Noël Bougrier'sspeciality at his fourth generation family cellar, based on the river Cher in the Loire'sTouraine. We,ve been working with him for many years, and he gives us privileged access to his outstanding wines , putting them aside until our Buyer is able to get out there and taste them. This Sauvignon Blanc pays tribute to Louise de Bourbon (1495,1575) and the 35 other Abbesses who reigned at the historic Abbaye de Fontevraud, close to Noël'scellar. Overseeing the expansion of the abbey made Louise a major figure in the region'shistory , and this delicious white is a fitting homage. Crisp and aromatic, this classic Loire Sauvignon is spot on with grilled white fish, seafood or simple salads.
